Basketball Game Preview: Shelby County Wildcats vs. Central of Clay County Volunteers

Shelby County is 0-10 against Central of Clay County since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Shelby County Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge the Central of Clay County Volunteers at 5:30 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Shelby County challenged Briarwood Christian on Thursday. Shelby County was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 39-38 to Briarwood Christian.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Central of Clay County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 35-23 victory over Sylacauga on Friday.

Central of Clay County's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Shelby County, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-5.

Shelby County ended up a good deal behind Central of Clay County in their previous matchup last Thursday, losing 42-28. Can Shelby County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
