Baseball Game Preview: Riverside Bulldogs vs. Missouri Valley Big Reds

Riverside is 2-8 against Missouri Valley since June of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to challenge the Big Reds at 7:00 p.m. Riverside has given up an average of 12.9 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Riverside is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game on Thursday. They lost 16-1 to Underwood.

Meanwhile, Missouri Valley came up short against Tri-Center on Friday, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Big Reds in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost five in a row.

Missouri Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Riverside skirted past Missouri Valley 6-4 in their previous meeting on June 6th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
