Oxford triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Brady Marqoupis

Recap: Oxford Pirates vs. Prouty Panthers
After losing to the Prouty Panthers the last time they met, the Oxford Pirates decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Oxford came out on top against Prouty by a score of 61-51 on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Oxford's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Prouty is ranked 32nd).
Brady Marqoupis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kofi Owusu, who scored 15 points.
The victory got Oxford back to even at 6-6. As for Prouty, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oxford will face off against Southbridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Prouty's road trip will continue as they head out to face Uxbridge at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th.
