Preview: Saint Francis Lancers vs. Bellarmine College Prep Bells
Saint Francis has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Bellarmine College Prep Bells at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Saint Francis is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bellarmine College Prep in California (Saint Francis is ranked 40th, while Bellarmine College Prep is ranked 208th).
Last Friday, Saint Francis earned a 27-20 win over Archbishop Riordan.
Kingston Keanaaina was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns. Keanaaina hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for three straight games. Perrion Williams also helped out with an impressive 92 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Bellarmine College Prep had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 23-13 win over Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory on Friday.
Saint Francis has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Bellarmine College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.
Everything went Saint Francis' way against Bellarmine College Prep in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as Saint Francis made off with a 31-10 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saint Francis since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
