Recap: Maricopa Rams vs. West Point Dragons

The Maricopa Rams's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 48-27 margin over West Point. That's another feather in the cap for Maricopa, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Lydia Clark had an outrageously good game as she scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Gardner, who scored ten points.

Maricopa's victory bumped their record up to 5-16. As for West Point, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maricopa won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Valley Vista at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Valley Vista knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Maricopa likes a good challenge. As for West Point, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Cesar Chavez at 5:30 p.m. on February 2nd. The timing isn't great for West Point: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Cesar Chavez has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
