Softball Recap: Charleston Math & Science's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Charleston Math & Science ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators. The game was the first time the Riptide have beaten the NaviGators on their field since March 13, 2020.

The win (which was Charleston Math & Science's third in a row) raised their record to 4-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Lowcountry Leadership, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

Coming up, Charleston Math & Science is taking a road trip to take on Lucy Beckham at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Riptide's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bengals have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Lowcountry Leadership, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Whale Branch at 6:00 p.m.
