Basketball Recap: St. Labre Indian Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Labre Indian Catholic was the 54-47 winner over Jefferson when they last played one another back in March of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The St. Labre Indian Catholic Braves fell 53-40 to the Jefferson Panthers on Wednesday. The match marked the Braves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Jefferson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Geier, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds. Hunter Stevens was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven assists and seven boards.

St. Labre Indian Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Jefferson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

St. Labre Indian Catholic didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-55 victory against Joliet on the 6th. As for Jefferson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-38 defeat against Columbus on the 6th.
