Basketball Recap: Ronnie Hooker's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lee County over Green Hope

With Lee County's effective field goal percentage at 68% and Green Hope's at 37% on Friday, the final result was to be expected on Friday. The Lee County Yellow Jackets received a blow as they fell 68-50 to the Green Hope Falcons. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Lee County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Ronnie Hooker, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nick Farrow, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 13 points.

Green Hope found their leader in freshman Knox Frey, who went 9 of 19 en route to 23 points and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Frey. The team also got some help courtesy of Kody Frey, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.

Lee County's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Green Hope, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.
