Soccer Game Preview: Kingwood Park vs. Porter

The Kingwood Park Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Porter Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Kingwood Park is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.

On Friday, it was close, but Kingwood Park sidestepped Dayton for a 3-2 win. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Broncos are ranked 366th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Porter hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They and Splendora finished up their contest with a 1-1 draw. That draw made it three straight for the Spartans.

Kingwood Park's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those seven games. Porter's draw makes their record 7-0-3 this season.

Everything went Kingwood Park's way against Porter in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Kingwood Park made off with a 6-1 win. In that matchup, Kingwood Park amassed a halftime lead of 6-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
