Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Christian Academy Falls to Victory Christian in First Game of Season

Lighthouse Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 54-33 to the Victory Christian Vikings on Thursday. Lighthouse Christian Academy has struggled against Victory Christian recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

It was another big night for Gracyn Barrow, who went 13 of 18 on her way to 27 points for Victory Christian. That makes it four consecutive games in which Barrow has scored at least a third of Victory Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ila Crane, who posted eight points.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Victory Christian, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lighthouse Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Victory Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 17, 2025. As for Victory Christian, they will head out to square off against Sumter Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
