Volleyball Game Preview: North Cobb Warriors vs. Buford Wolves

The North Cobb Warriors will head out to square off against the Buford Wolves at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are still undefeated (North Cobb has five wins , while Buford has three).

While North Cobb's win against North Paulding wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Wolfpack on Tuesday.

North Cobb took North Paulding into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19, 21-25, 27-29, 17-15.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wolves on Tuesday. Buford blew past Wesleyan 3-0.

One reason for the win was Buford's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-17, 25-16.

Buford's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for North Cobb, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

North Cobb came out on top in a nail-biter against Buford in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wolves' Alexa Flowers, who had 29 digs and three aces. Now that she won't be playing on Thursday, will it be easier for the Warriors to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
