Basketball Recap: Yellville-Summit Takes a Loss

Yellville-Summit lost against Melbourne back in February of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellville-Summit Panthers took a blow against the Melbourne Bearkatz, falling 63-36. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Yellville-Summit and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Melbourne, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Yellville-Summit Panthers duke it out with the Valley Springs Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Yellville-Summit is facing Valley Springs at the right time seeing as Valley Springs is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Melbourne, they will head out on the road to face off against Cedar Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Melbourne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Cedar Ridge likes a good challenge.
