Baseball Preview: Davidson Warriors vs. Bryant Hurricanes
Davidson is 1-9 against Bryant since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Warriors will host the Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Monday, Davidson made easy work of Murphy and carried off a 13-2 victory. That looming 13-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Warriors yet this season.
Adyn Scott was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Davidson is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 6-12-1 otherwise. Scott was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bryant). They came out on top against Baker by a score of 17-12 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.
Bryant's win bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Davidson, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13-1.
Davidson might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Bryant in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
