Volleyball Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Memphis Rise Academy.

Mitchell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Memphis Rise Academy, they moved to 3-10 with that win, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

Mitchell and Memphis Rise Academy could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Tigers (ranked 297th) will meet Freedom Prep Academy (ranked 146th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Memphis Rise Academy will challenge Memphis Business Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (314 vs. 123).
