Softball Recap: Florence Comes Up Short

Florence entered their matchup against Llano on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Buffaloes came up short against the Yellowjackets, falling 31-16. The Buffaloes just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Kimber Bliton made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Laney Ellis, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Florence now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Llano, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Florence will square off against rival Blanco at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Llano is set to challenge their familiar foe Ingram Moore at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
