Recap: High School of the Future vs. Roxborough Wolves
High School of the Future were the 73-55 winner over the Roxborough Wolves when they last played one another back in January of 2020, but their luck changed this time around. High School of the Future took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Roxborough. High School of the Future has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why High School of the Future lost on Thursday, one person who can't be blamed is A Jeune. Despite the final result, he scored 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jeune has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of G Banks, who scored four points along with eight assists and five steals.
Roxborough got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sahir Smith out in front who scored 13 points along with five steals and three blocks. Smith hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Josh Jones was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
High School of the Future has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season. As for Roxborough, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.
High School of the Future will head out on the road to square off against Martin Luther King at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Martin Luther King is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Roxborough, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against South Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. South Philadelphia will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 694th, while Roxborough is ranked 253rd).
