On Friday, Cranford earned a 5-1 victory over New Providence. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won six in a row.

Gabe Arato spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Brayden Fry was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Smith, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
