Baseball Recap: Fox Chapel Starts Season with Win Against Norwin

Fox Chapel took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Norwin Knights by a score of 7-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Foxes as it put an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Blake Krushinski made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Krushinski was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Antonio LeDonne was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Norwin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Fox Chapel will be playing at home against Franklin Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin Regional will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Fox Chapel surely won't give up without a fight. As for Norwin, they will venture away from home to face off against Central Catholic at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
