Basketball Game Preview: Twin River Titans vs. Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs

Twin River hasn't had much luck against Humphrey-Lindsay recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Twin River Titans will host the Humphrey-Lindsay Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Twin River is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 16th on Tuesday. They were beaten by Howells-Dodge 58-28. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Titans' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Humphrey-Lindsay has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 50-38 to Howells-Dodge on Thursday.

Twin River will need to focus on slowing down Hallie Reichmuth, one of several Humphrey-Lindsay players who made an impact when they last played. She posted 11 points and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Reichmuth now owns an excellent 45.5% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Claire Korth, who went 7 of 17 en route to 17 points.

Even though they lost, Humphrey-Lindsay smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Humphrey-Lindsay's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Twin River, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

Twin River came up short against Humphrey-Lindsay when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 57-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Korth, who went 7 for 15 to rack up 25 points and seven boards. Now that Twin River knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
