Basketball Recap: Valley Triumphs

The third road game was the charm for Valley, as they earned their first road win of the season. They slipped by the Bullock County Hornets 42-41 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-56 last Tuesday.

Jayden Weaver had a dynamite game for Valley, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Weaver a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Antwan Greenwood, who posted eight points and ten rebounds.

Valley's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Bullock County, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley will head out to take on LaFayette at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bullock County, they will venture away from home to face off against Barbour County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
