Basketball Recap: Grace Christian Beats United Christian Academy for Their Fourth Straight Win

Grace Christian waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 56-45 victory over the United Christian Academy Crusaders. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

Leading Grace Christian to victory were Caleb Cashion and Isaiah Cline. Cashion went 9 for 16 on his way to 22 points and four steals, while Cline went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Cline a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Toby Schmandt, who posted ten points and five boards.

Grace Christian's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for United Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Grace Christian has already played their next contest, a 76-60 defeat against Appalachian Christian School on the 28th. As for United Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-42 victory against Redeemer Classical on the 28th.
