Baseball Recap: Parowan Gets the Win

Parowan took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Millard, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Parowan Rams narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Millard Eagles 6-5. For the Rams, this counts as revenge for the 12-5 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Josh Waller made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ayden Osborne, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was his first of the season. Kash Sissener was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Parowan's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3. As for Millard, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Parowan will have a chance to go back-to-back against Millard: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
