Basketball Recap: Dollar Bay Takes a Loss

Dollar Bay lost against Ewen-Trout Creek back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dollar Bay Bays were dealt a 53-13 loss at the hands of the Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Bays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while the Panthers are ranked 89th).

Laila Bell was Dollar Bay's leading scorer, having posted six points. Kiera Isaacson held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.

Dollar Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Ewen-Trout Creek, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Dollar Bay will head out on the road to square off against Jeffers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ewen-Trout Creek, they will challenge Watersmeet at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
