Volleyball Recap: Eastern Hancock Royals vs. Frankton Eagles

Eastern Hancock was the 2-0 winner over Frankton when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Royals fell 2-0 to the Eagles on Saturday. The Royals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eastern Hancock was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Frankton work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-21.

Josie Hunt paced Eastern Hancock's offense, picking up six kills. Hunt got some help from Karly Lowes and her 17 assists. Hayden Collins and Hannah Wittgren kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Alana Thompson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and two assists. Elayna Rash also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Eastern Hancock's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Frankton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-4.

Eastern Hancock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Anderson on the 13th. As for Frankton, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Sheridan on the 13th.
