Football Recap: Indian Springs Takes a Loss

After flying high against Riverside Prep last Thursday, Indian Springs came back down to earth. The COYOTES took a blow against the Citrus Hill Hawks on Friday, falling 44-13.

When it comes to explaining why Indian Springs lost, don't look at Damien Johnson. Despite the final result, he rushed for 130 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries, and also picked up 43 receiving yards.

Indian Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Citrus Hill, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Indian Springs wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 20-14 win against Miller on the 26th. As for Citrus Hill, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Moreno Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Hawks 9.2, the Vikings 13.5) so any points scored will be well earned.
