Volleyball Recap: Nashoba Regional Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Nashoba Regional lost against Nipmuc Regional back in October of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Wolves took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors.

Nashoba Regional started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-19.

Despite the loss, Nashoba Regional still got an impressive performance from Melanie Gould, who had 17 digs and two aces. Gould is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Faith Windzio was another key player, getting 13 digs and two assists.

Nashoba Regional dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Nipmuc Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Nashoba Regional didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Shrewsbury on the 25th. As for Nipmuc Regional, they will take on Blackstone Valley RVT at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Beavers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
