Football Game Preview: Palm Desert Aztecs vs. Palm Springs Indians + How To Watch

Palm Desert is on a six-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Palm Springs is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Aztecs will welcome the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

On Thursday, Palm Desert made easy work of Shadow Hills and carried off a 38-14 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-7.

Alfred 'AJ' Rivera Jr. was his usual excellent self, throwing for 322 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.5 yards per attempt. He has become a key player for Palm Desert: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three passing touchdowns, but 2-3 otherwise. The Aztecs also got a significant boost from Elijah Walker, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.

Meanwhile, Palm Springs never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Xavier Prep 26-0. Considering the Indians have won three matchups by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Palm Springs' victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Palm Desert, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything came up roses for Palm Desert against Palm Springs in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 35-6 victory. Will the Aztecs repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
