Basketball Recap: Corliss Comes Up Short

Corliss was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 54-52 heartbreaker at the hands of the Christian Fenger Academy Titans. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 633rd, while the Titans are ranked 210th).

Corliss' loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Christian Fenger Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Chicago Vocational the next time they take the court. Christian Fenger Academy will head out to face Chicago Vocational at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Corliss will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
