Sadly, Benson is still looking for their first win of the season after 13 games. They suffered a rough 16-0 loss at the hands of the Burke Bulldogs on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Benson of the 24-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.
For Burke's part, Owen Hultman tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched.

The timing is sure in Gretna East's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Burke has been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
