It was a good run, but Southmoore unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mustang Broncos by a score of 1-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the SaberCats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Southmoore's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Mustang, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

Southmoore will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Deer Creek at 8:00 p.m. on March 25th. Mustang also won't see the pitch for a while: their next contest is against Enid at 8:00 p.m. on March 25th. Mustang is facing Enid at the right time seeing as Enid is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
