Basketball Game Preview: South Walton Seahawks vs. North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers

The South Walton Seahawks will square off against the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. South Walton will be strutting in after a victory while North Bay Haven Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

South Walton is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Destin on Monday as South Walton made off with a 77-54 win. Given the Seahawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Sharks are ranked 405th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, North Bay Haven Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-51 heartbreaker at the hands of Arnold.

South Walton's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for North Bay Haven Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-14.

Everything came up roses for South Walton against North Bay Haven Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 61-32 win. Will South Walton repeat their success, or does North Bay Haven Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
