Softball Recap: Central A & M Takes a Loss

Central A & M lost to Mattoon on Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-5 to the Greenwave, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Central A & M now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Mattoon, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central A & M will host Shelbyville at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Mattoon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Charleston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
