Softball Recap: Larkin Comes Up Short

Larkin fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Jacobs on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 7-6. The Royals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2022.

Julissa Aguinaga made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-6 with one stolen base and two RBI. Mya Bermudez also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Larkin's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-10. As for Jacobs, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.

Larkin will be playing at home against Riverside-Brookfield at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jacobs, they will take on Hampshire at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
