Basketball Recap: Hertford County Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last six matchups, Hertford County finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 77-25 loss at the hands of the Northeastern Eagles. The game marked the Bears' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Northeastern's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyell Saunders, who posted 12 points in addition to seven steals and five assists. Another player making a difference was Jakeel Stallings, who put up 15 points and four steals.

Hertford County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Northeastern, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

As of now, neither Hertford County nor Northeastern have any future games scheduled.
