Softball Recap: Hannah-Pamplico Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Hannah-Pamplico posted their closest victory since May 15, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Johnsonville Flashes 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Kadence Poston spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chloe Cooper was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payten Poston, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Hannah-Pamplico was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Johnsonville only posted a batting average of .250.

Hannah-Pamplico's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-9. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Johnsonville, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

As of now, neither Hannah-Pamplico nor the Flashes have any future games scheduled.
