Baseball Recap: Montgomery Central Takes a Loss

Montgomery Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Southern Lee Cavaliers, falling 11-1.

Montgomery Central's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Southern Lee, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery Central will welcome Ledford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ledford has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.08 runs per game on average), something Montgomery Central will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southern Lee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hoke County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
