Basketball Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Brennan Bears

The Warren Warriors will head out to face off against the Brennan Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, Warren lost to Harlan at home by a 83-64 margin. The Warriors have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Brennan entered their tilt with Taft on Saturday with 16 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 17. They blew past the Raiders 94-22. Given the Bears' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Raiders are ranked 726th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brennan's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 28-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 95.0 points over those games. As for Warren, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-16.

Warren took a serious blow against Brennan when the teams last played back in January, falling 86-37. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Brennan's Kingston Flemings, who almost dropped a triple-double on 28 points, nine boards, and ten assists.
