Volleyball Recap: Inderkum Comes Up Short

Inderkum lost against Christian Brothers on March 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Inderkum fell just short of Christian Brothers by a score of 3-2.

Inderkum took Christian Brothers into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking five-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-19, 25-18, 15-25, 15-10.

Despite the defeat, Inderkum saw an underclassman step up: sophomore David Bui had 18 digs and two aces. Those 18 digs gave Bui a new career-high.

Inderkum has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. The victory was the eighth in a row for Christian Brothers, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Inderkum will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bella Vista at 6:30 p.m. on April 7. Christian Brothers has already played their next contest (against Jesuit), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
