Volleyball Recap: Coastal Academy Comes Up Short

Coastal Academy lost against Canyon Hills back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Coastal Academy Stingrays fell just short of the Canyon Hills Rattlers by a score of 2-1.

Cobyn Palmer paced Coastal Academy's offense, picking up 14 kills. Palmer got some help from Cole Sulouff and his 23 assists. Zac Garland controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Coastal Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. The win made it two in a row for Canyon Hills and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

Looking ahead, Coastal Academy will square off against Maranatha Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maranatha Christian will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Coastal Academy surely won't give up without a fight. As for Canyon Hills, they will challenge El Capitan at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
