It was a good run, but West Haven unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-match winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sacred Heart Academy Sharks. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Sharks when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 24-26, 25-16, 25-15.

JJ Kirck was her usual excellent self, getting 19 digs and three aces for Sacred Heart Academy. What's more, Kirck racked up seven assists, the most she's had since back in November of 2024.

West Haven's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Sacred Heart Academy, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

As for Sacred Heart Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Wilbur Cross on the 3rd.
