Basketball Recap: Chestatee Piles Up the Points Against Lumpkin County

Chestatee won the last time they faced Lumpkin County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Chestatee War Eagles blew past the Lumpkin County Indians 74-40. Given the War Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Indians are ranked 246th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chestatee is also on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.4 points per game. As for Lumpkin County, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-16.
