Basketball Recap: Provine Comes Up Short

Provine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 56-40 bruising from the North Pike Jaguars. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 59-39 two weeks ago.

North Pike was led to victory by Kadence Jordan and De'Asia Hudson. Jordan went 8 for 14 en route to 19 points and six rebounds, while Hudson went 6 of 9 on her way to 15 points along with eight boards and three steals. Another player making a difference was Zy' Keiya Herring, who posted seven points and five boards.

Provine's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for North Pike, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.

As of now, neither Provine nor North Pike have any future games scheduled.
