Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westside). Their defense stepped up to hand the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers a 5-0 shutout on Monday. It was an even better day for Jaelynn Zelaya as she scored three goals for her team.

Westside's lineup was just a bit different on Monday as Sophia Wilkinson got a bit more time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 52). Wilkinson made the most of the opportunity, putting up four assists A few more games like that and she might be seeing even more time going forward.

The win made it two in a row for Westside and bumps their season record up to 6-7. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two contests. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.
