Basketball Game Preview: University Christian Christians vs. Bishop Moore Hornets

The University Christian Christians will take on the Bishop Moore Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. University Christian will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Last Monday, University Christian strolled past Potter's House Christian with points to spare, taking the game 53-39. Given the Christians' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Lions are ranked 221st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Adalbert Allotey had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 15 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Augustine Ayelyine, who posted six points in addition to ten boards and three steals.

University Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 70 points the game before, Bishop Moore was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They took a blow against Lake Howell, falling 56-26. The contest marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

University Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for Bishop Moore, they dropped their record down to 4-17 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
