Softball Recap: Hudson Hawks vs. Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles
On Friday, Hudson faced Advanced Math & Science Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Hudson Hawks took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Advanced Math & Science Academy Eagles. Hudson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Advanced Math & Science Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April.
For Advanced Math & Science Academy's part, Grace Galvin was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kathleen Galvin, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double.
Hudson's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Advanced Math & Science Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-3.
Hudson will head out on the road to take on Marlborough at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Advanced Math & Science Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
