Meanwhile, there's no place like home for North Newton, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Attica by a score of 43-32 on Saturday. The Spartans pushed the score to 33-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Red Ramblers cut but never quite recovered from.

North Newton's win came from a few key players Rensselaer Central will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jackson Alexander, who went 5 for 9 en route to 13 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jared Kutsch, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

North Newton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Rensselaer Central's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-11. As for North Newton, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-13.
