Basketball Game Preview: Kennedy Crusaders vs. Hancock Eagles

Kennedy is 9-0 against Hancock since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Kennedy Crusaders will host the Hancock Eagles at 2:30 p.m. Hancock took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Kennedy, who comes in off a win.

Kennedy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 72-47 margin over Hubbard on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Crusaders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Kennedy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joseph Dahl led the charge by going 10 of 17 on his way to 24 points and six rebounds. With that strong performance, Dahl is now averaging an impressive 16.2 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Jovani Naverette, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards.

Meanwhile, Hancock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by King and fell 61-10. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kennedy's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Hancock, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything went Kennedy's way against Hancock when the teams last played back in February, as Kennedy made off with a 60-35 win. Does Kennedy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hancock turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
