Volleyball Recap: Serra Catholic Comes Up Short

Serra Catholic was the 3-1 winner over South Allegheny when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Gladiators on Monday, falling 3-0. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Serra Catholic was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into South Allegheny's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-23.

Serra Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for South Allegheny, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Serra Catholic has already played their next contest (against Seton LaSalle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for South Allegheny, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against East Allegheny on the 23rd.
