Softball Recap: Green Mountain Rams vs. Golden Demons
After flying high against Dakota Ridge last Wednesday, Green Mountain came back down to earth. The Green Mountain Rams lost 17-3 to the Golden Demons on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 19-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture on September 10th.
Beverly Starr was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Green Mountain now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Golden, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Mountain will take on Standley Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Golden, they will venture away from home to challenge Wheat Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
