Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Tristan Anderson and Sammell Humphries Lead Olympian to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Victory Christian Academy, Olympian was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 82-67 win over the Monte Vista Monarchs. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th, while the Monarchs are ranked 643rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Olympian was led to victory by Sammell Humphries and Tristan Anderson. Humphries dropped a double-double with 26 points and 12 boards, while Anderson almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine steals. Those 26 points gave Humphries a new career-high. Jordan Walker was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 15 points and seven assists.

Olympian's record now sits at 22-6. As for Monte Vista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-14.

As of now, neither Olympian nor Monte Vista have any future games scheduled.
